Attento Services Limited (“Attento”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates an on-demand security booking platform in the United Kingdom. We are registered in England and Wales.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following personal data when you use our platform:

• Name, email address, phone number
• Home or business address
• Payment information (processed securely via Stripe — we do not store card details)
• SIA licence details and identity documents (security personnel only)
• GPS location data (during active jobs only)
• App usage data and device information

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data to:

• Match customers with available security personnel
• Enable live job tracking during active bookings
• Process payments securely through Stripe
• Verify SIA licences via the official SIA API
• Send job notifications and platform updates
• Comply with our legal obligations

We never sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Location Data

Guard location is collected only during active jobs. It is shared only with the customer of that specific job. Location data is permanently deleted when the job ends. We do not retain location history.

5. Data Retention

• Account data — retained while your account is active
• Job records — 7 years (HMRC legal requirement)
• Real-time location — deleted immediately on job completion
• Identity documents — 12 months after account closure
• Deleted accounts — erased within 30 days

6. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, and port your personal data. To exercise any right, contact us at support@attentoservices.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.

7. Security

All data is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Our infrastructure runs on encrypted servers based in the United Kingdom.

8. Cookies

Our mobile app does not use cookies. Our website uses essential cookies only to ensure basic functionality.

9. Children

Our platform is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of significant changes to this policy by email or in-app notification with at least 30 days notice.
